PPP Flexibility Act

Our country is going through a lot of turmoil and social unrest, I hope you and your family are well and staying safe during this time.  As a first generation refugee and immigrant, I understand.  I understand the problem of racism and injustice.  Let’s all hope for positive change.

So let’s talk about the PPP Flexibility Act.  There are a new set of requirements to consider and the timeframe has changed from 8 weeks to 24 weeks.  Please make sure you familiarize yourself with the latest rules.

PPP EIDL Update

I want to make sure our clients are aware of the latest news and updates on the Paycheck Protection Program and The Economic Injury Disaster Loan programs.  There are certain things you need to do during the 8 week window of time after your loan is approved. Here’s some news about the proposed second stimulus and EIDL requirements.

Financial & Budget Planning

Let’s talk a little about Financial and Budget Planning.  If you haven’t already please check out the Tax and Financial Planning Package that we create for our clients every year in your client’s portal account. Planning for the future brings up important topics like how do we prepare for future years, how do we budget in light of what we made last year, do we have enough to buy a home?, are we overspending?, do we need estate planning? and more.

PPP Additional Guidance

By now we all should be familiar with the Paycheck Protection Program.  So far the requirements for forgiveness are still the same, 75% Payroll, 25% Rent and Mortgage/Utilities. Make sure you are diligent with your substantiation because the burden of proof is on us as the business owner.  Be aware that the loan forgiveness process does take up to 5 months.  Make sure your Full Time Equivalent during the 8 week window meets the FTE that you used to qualify for the loan.  Lets get into the details of it…
